The new year is almost upon us!

I  have decided to try to get in the habit of posting weekly on here so that when I actual accomplish something it will be a less daunting task to get something up.  It has been a quiet fall (heading into winter).  I hung my bike up at the end of September and have been trying to run 4 to 5 days a week.  I think it is time to pick up the intensity as we round into 2012.  I have been getting great runs in on the weekends with my faithful running partner KB.  Last Saturday, we headed out from the Old North Bridge in Concord for a quick 6.5 mile run.  Great to be out so early and done by 8:00am.  Today was an easy 4.1 miler from my gym at 8:00 minute pace.  I did do some pickups on the way back to try to loosen up the legs a bit.  Last night was our annual "Santa" party and the kids loved it.  Santa was awesome!!!!!!!!!

I'm still out here!!!

So blogging didn't work as well this year. I need to be more disciplined in writing. Training has been going well. I am over 1000 miles for the year and should get in another 150 before the big weekend. Fundraising has even been better! So far we have raised a tic over $8K!!!! I say 'we' because I can't do this without your help. I am hoping that when the dust settles we will have over $9,000. Considering the first year I rode (2007)I barely raised the $4000 minimum, I am amazed at where we are now. I do plan on riding from New York again on Friday. It is an extra 100 miles but it is my way of giving a little extra. (plus, it is a beautiful ride). So the countdown is a little over 10 days and I AM counting down the days. I thank you all for your support. You are inspiring.

It's about time!

So I have been remiss in my blogging but I am back. Training has been going OK, not great but pretty good. This weekend I am going to go for my first ride to Mt Wachusett. I am looking forward to testing the lungs and legs on the climbs out there. Buddy's Bash is two weeks away and I have started rounding up some great raffle prizes. I will be listing them here as they come in.

So far we have raffle prizes from:
Wachusett Brewery

RJ Bradley's Ski Shop

Marx Running and Fitness

Littleton Sub Shop

With many more to come!!!!!

PMC 2011 is calling me.

It seems like only yesterday I was on the ferry, sipping a Coors, and heading home from Provincetown after another successful PMC. It has been an eventful fall/winter with some surgery to fix the breathing problems I was having and no bike riding after the PMC but I am back and ready to roar. I just got off my trainer after a little 30 minute ride. Right now 30 minutes is about my max on the trainer. It is just to boring. I did have a nice surprise on Superbowl Sunday as my first donations came in. Thank you for kicking off the season right. I will be working on my fundraising letter over the next few weeks and hope to send that out on March 1st.

Thanks for reading.
